Among the month –long celebrations during the “Heart Month” of February, Valentine’s day was widely observed in school and elsewhere.. The girls prepared a surprise program for the CRIBS staff. It was a first time for them to conduct such an activity. The Staff didn’t know about the program and wondered what the girls were up to, busily making hearts out of colorful paper, decorating the Multi-Purpose Hall, interviewing the staff and practicing dance and song numbers.

The staff was requested to wear a red blouse to give more excitement to the said program. When the program started most of the girls were excited but still a little bit nervous. It was their first time to facilitate a program, which began with a prayer. Special numbers and games followed. One of their games was memorable for the staff because one of the girls had collected quotations from different books and the “Daily Bread. The staff picked strips of paper with a quotation and were asked to interpret the quotation to the girls. Most of the girls had difficulty understanding certain words and it helped them to know the meaning of the quotations. They played and learned at the same time. Here are some of the quotations they chose. |

They also had a game called ”search for the pair of your heart”, another challenging game that the staff had to do, like eating the tomato, pulvoron and calamansi, and dance steps. Most of the staff enjoyed the program very much. Ms. Maritona v. Labajo, our Executive Director, gave an inspirational talk to the girls. |

The highlight of the program was a short skit prepared by the girls for the staff. They acted out the staff’s mannerisms and how they talk to give more spice. The staff laughed while the girls acted out. They proved to be very observant. Performing the activity on their own gave the girls the opportunity to be more responsible, creative, and not to depend too much on their Teachers and NB Staff. The activity helped them realize that even if they are young they can conduct empowering and enjoyable activities that can also provide them with a great bonding opportunity with the staff. |

We need one another to do what God wants us to do The world crowns quick success, God crowns long-term faithfulness Faith is the ability to see God in the Dark Our Love for God is seen in our love for others If God’s word guides your conscience, Let your conscience be your guide Fear God and you will have nothing else to fear Let them praise the name of the Lord for his name alone is exalted
